Abstract

Obsessed with his art but driven by the tortuous view of being hopelessly inferior to Mozart’s ingenuity, Salieri sees only one solution – to poison his rival. A performance with music, poetry and marionettes revolving around Pushkin’s play, set to music by Rimsky-Korsakov as an opera in one act.
